Alison has worked with clients looking for help with interpersonal issues, anxiety, panic, PTSD, depression, the impact of abuse, self-harm, separation / divorce, diagnosis with serious illnesses (such a cancer), Tic Disorders / Tourette Syndrome, and more.
Alison uses an integrative approach to therapy drawing on Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT theory and skills).
Originally from the UK, Alison has lived and worked in Singapore for more than 28 years. In her previous career Alison gained extensive experience building cross-cultural teams, and in training, performance development, workplace conflict management and career counselling.
Personal Approach
Alison looks to help restore her clients’ sense of balance amidst the challenges and setbacks that are part of life experience. By providing an atmosphere of warmth and safety her aim is that her clients feel supported, understood, and able to be themselves without any fear of being judged.
Alison has varied areas of interest in therapy with a particular focus on the effects of, and recovery from, childhood and later life trauma.
